This project was realized during a three-day workshop hosted by studio DO-MAKE with British designers of Full Grown.
We are slowly getting back in touch with nature and we are finally understanding that we can’t live without it, and therefore need to find a way to live in symbiosis with it. Through this piece, I want to express this transition phase that we are living in where: green, Bio, organic, vegan, and all this kind of labels are being abused by our capitalistic society. With this lamp I want people to think about this industrialized green bioproduction and push them to take the next step and get closer to nature instead of just using this image for their social/economic benefit.
So from far away this lamp looks like an industrial metal tree trunk, but once you get close you will get attracted by the organic inside structure and the light shades created on the inside by the lamp.
